Sürdürülebilirlik İnsan Odaklı Yaklaşımımız

Human

Borusan Logistics has focused on four main areas in addressing human and societal benefits: "Gender Equality," "Talent Management," "Quality Development of Children," and "Occupational Health and Safety." In the field of gender equality, the company has completed its targets for female employees in leadership, office, and blue-collar positions. Projects such as "Equal Tales," "This License Carries the Power of Equality," support for the Foundation for the Support of Women's Work (ÇYDD) project "I have a daughter in Anatolia; she will become a teacher," and the Borusan Equals Art Competition have contributed to raising awareness and expanding support. The "Strong Woman, Strong Logistics" project aims to bring the company closer to its gender equality goals. In talent management, Borusan Logistics has achieved its goals for talent management and employee engagement, earning the HPW – Happy Place to Work award as the most admired company in the logistics sector. Regarding occupational health and safety, the company prioritizes digitization, and its project design for the detection and prevention of safety errors on ramps using Artificial Intelligence Image Processing has earned them the TÜSİAD SD2 Digital Transformation awards in industry. They have also started efforts for the dissemination of this project.

"Strong Woman, Strong Logistics"

For the past 10 years, Borusan Logistics has been actively working on gender equality, undertaking various projects on behalf of Borusan Holding and Group companies. We are progressing with the aim of making less-preferred professions, especially those like truck driving, more attractive and increasing demand while ensuring gender equality. Through our "Strong Woman, Strong Logistics" projects, we are getting closer to our equality goals every day.

BORUSAN EQUALS ART COMPETITION

In our efforts for Gender Equality under the umbrella of "Borusan Equals," we believe that creating awareness among children is crucial. To foster a world where future generations embrace equality in every aspect, we invited all children aged 5-7 to participate in a drawing competition, distributing "Equal Tales" to all participants. In addition to awards for the winners, we adorned two of our trucks with the winning drawings. This way, we aim to carry the power of equality everywhere on the roads.

MASALLAR EŞİTKEN GÜZEL!

We are aware that gender equality is linked to childhood perceptions. For a more equal future, we distributed the "Equal Tales Series," reinterpreted in collaboration with Odeabank, to all children of Borusan Logistics employees with an egalitarian perspective.

GREEN KIDS FESTIVAL

To teach children about a sustainable future, we organized Green Kids Festivals in various offices. These events aimed to help children establish a closer relationship with nature and learn environmentally friendly behaviors. During the activities, children learned how to separate waste and the importance of recycling through waste sorting activities. The maraca-making activity demonstrated how recyclable materials can be used and brought out the children's creativity. Additionally, through the seed bomb-making activity, children experienced planting skills and reinforced their love for nature.

SUPPORT PROJECTS

With the participation of all our employees, we supported 30 children through the Contemporary Living Support Association's "I Have a Daughter in Anatolia; She Will Become a Teacher" project. We also supported our children/youngsters through the Asım Kocabıyık Foundation's "Education on the Hook Project" and contributed to the Darüşşafaka Society/New Year Donation to support our youth.

CARRYING THE POWER OF THIS LICENSE EQUALITY

We ensure that applicants from all our field employees participate in free courses to obtain heavy equipment licenses. We are working to provide employment opportunities for women in various roles. This year, we achieved our targets for the percentage of female employees in both office and field personnel.

LOGISTICS SECTOR'S HAPPIEST WORKPLACE

Adapting to the changing conditions of the business world and working environment, we aim to ensure the sustainability of commitment. This year, we were chosen as the happiest workplace in our sector by HPW (Happy Place to Work).

2ND MOST ADMIRED COMPANY IN THE LOGISTICS SECTOR

In the 2022 research of Capital's "Most Admired Companies in Business," we became one of the 2 most admired companies in the logistics category.

IMAGE AND SOUND SYSTEM FOR SECURITY

In our Bursa Warehouse, a visual and auditory warning system comes into operation at the entrance and exit points, shelf spaces, and emergency exit points when simultaneous movements occur through sensors. This ensures the safety of pedestrians and equipment.

LOADING SAFETY PROJECT

The recognition and warning system, utilizing artificial intelligence technology, is a project developed using pre-trained deep neural networks to identify unsafe conditions in images from the internal cameras. Integrated with sectional door systems and a mechanical stopper system, we aim to minimize the risk in all ramp areas and, in the future phases of the project, within warehouse areas. The project's design phase is complete, and it will be implemented in phases starting in 2023. Our project has also earned the "Potential for Generalization Success Award" at the TÜSİAD SD2 awards ceremony.

FORKLIFT SAFETY DAY

At Borusan Logistics, we conducted our 2nd Forklift Safety Day with Castrol TUCA SC. Safety-themed games, theatrical activities, and other events took place at our stations, designed to refresh the safety awareness of our forklift operators and support teams. We remain committed to focusing on zero accidents in our operations and dedicating all our energy to this goal. The organization was conducted as carbon-neutral.

EQUIPMENT PEDESTRIAN SAFETY PROJECT

At the Tuzla Operation Center – Transfer operation, to ensure the separation of pedestrians and equipment within the field, a sensor and detection system were implemented in collaboration with Triomobil. This system, when pedestrian movement is detected near equipment, provides a warning through vibration, sound, and lights, slowing down the equipment. Simultaneously, sensors placed on the ramps ensure the safe operation of the equipment during loading and unloading.
