The first batch of vehicles that departed on March 25 reached İzmit on April 9. According to the agreement signed with Iranian company Samandrail, two batches of vehicles will be transported to Köseköy every month.

19 April 2007, Istanbul. Acting under the brand name Borusan International and accelerating its operations in Iran following the official opening ceremony in February, Borusan Lojistik attracts attention with its services that make a difference in Turkey’s logistics sector. Recently, as a result of a joint venture between Borusan Lojistik and Borusan International, an agreement was reached with Iranian Khodro affiliate Samandrail, Iran’s largest automotive manufacturer, to transport Peugeot 206 Sedan automobiles to Turkey from Iran. Within the scope of the agreement, the first 180 vehicles, which were taken from Tehran on March 25, 2007, reached TCDD İzmit Köseköy Station on April 9, 2007.

Borusan Lojistik receives the vehicles from the manufacturing factory in Tehran. Upon delivery, the vehicles are inspected and damage reports are prepared if there is any damage. This data is recorded both in Tehran and at Borusan Lojistik’s Köseköy Vehicle Logistics Center. The received automobiles are transported to the TCDD Köseköy Station using double-decker wagons belonging to Borusan Lojistik. According to the agreement, two shipments will be made per month.

Emphasizing that the company went to Iran to provide high-quality services beyond the usual boundaries, Borusan Lojistik Deputy General Manager İbrahim Dölen continued:

“We are pleased and proud to be the first logistics company to transport vehicles from Iran to Turkey by double-decker wagon. This means we have broken new ground. We already have the capacity to transport 180 vehicles with a total of 18 wagons. However, we will increase our number of wagons and capacity with investments. With our experience and expertise in different sectors, we can offer services to our customers in Iran that meet their needs. We are always making a difference and continuously raising customer satisfaction. Through its operations in Iran, Borusan Lojistik will increase its weight and market share not only in this country but also in the whole region. We are on our way to becoming a global player in Turkey in the logistics sector.”
