BORUSAN LOJİSTİK GIVES ADR SEMINAR TO ITS CUSTOMERS!
On April 18, Borusan Lojistik gave a seminar on the ADR (European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods) by Road to its customers for informative purposes. At the seminar attended by more than 70 guests, Borusan Lojistik Istanbul Asian Side Warehouse Operations and Customer Services Manager Murat Öncel explained details of the agreement which entered into force as of January 2014.
The ADR (European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) which was signed in 2010 by Turkey and not only covers the transportation but also loading, packaging, storing, unloading and handling of dangerous materials, entered into force as of January 1, 2014. The regulations introduced by the ADR Agreement cover all the processes of dangerous material transportation. In accordance with the Regulations on the Carriage of Hazardous Materials by Road, liabilities and penalties are regulated separately not only for those producing, storing, carrying and sending dangerous materials, but also all parties operating within the process. The liable parties are as follows:
• Sending Party
• Packaging Party
• Loading Party
• Filling Party
• Carrying Party
• Driver and Other Officials in the Vehicle
• Receiving Party
• Unloading Party
• Tank-Container/Portable Tank Operator
