Borusan Port now “Green/Eco Port” certified!

Borusan Logistics has received the “Green/Eco Port” certificate issued by the Turkish Standard Institute (TSE) in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications. Borusan Port was subjected to an extremely difficult evaluation process, but successfully completed the second phase of the audits carried out by the Ministry and TSE specialists to earn the certification. Used by the world’s leading port facilities, Green Port certification has been implemented in Turkey since late 2014. Speaking about Borusan Port’s achievement at getting its Green/Eco Port certification, Borusan Logistics General Manager İbrahim Dölen highlighted that this certificate is regarded as a very respectable and important competitive element between international maritime transport companies and world ports. He continued; “We are highly aware that the future of our work, our environment and our country are all connected to each other. This certificate is an important step on this path, but it definitely won’t be the last. Treating nature as our friend and being on the green side will never be just words for us. We aim to be a green country not through our words but through our actions. We will continue to lead our sector in the same way we lead all our fields of activity.”
