Borusan Lojistik attaches great importance to the protection of the environment and natural resources and has so far planted 245,430 trees within the scope of the 7 Trees Forest project carried out in collaboration with the ÇEKÜL Foundation. A total of 1,000,000 trees will be planted by the time the project is completed in 2018. Seeds such as larch, cedar, yellow pollen, ailanthus, wild pear, and ash were planted in specific arid regions in 2011 and 2012, the first two years of the project. During the planting period, endemic species of creeping juniper was preserved. In 2013, black cypress, blue cypress, cork oak, Valonia oak, black locust seedlings, and especially larch saplings which had proved very successful, were planted. Considering the rural development in the region, species such as ash, which are useful for beekeeping activities and can be used by the inhabitants of villages, were planted.

In Izmir Ödemiş Bozdağ Field, where degenerated plants with distorted normal function and quality are present, a strong afforestation work is continuing, using species that can be grown in this region.
In this project, which will make a significant contribution to the expansion of the forested areas of our country, a quarter of the total number of trees to be planted by 2013 have already been put in the ground. The works continue at the same pace in order to plant 1 million trees before 2018.

Growing at an average growth rate of 35cm per year, the seedlings are also a source of pride for all Borusan Lojistik employees and a sign that we are paying back our debt to nature.
