BORUSAN LOJİSTİK VOLUNTEERS START THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR WITH THE “READ-THINK-SHARE” PROJECT AT TÜRKAN SABANCI PRIMARY SCHOOL FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED!
The 2013-2014 academic courses of “Read - Think - Share” project jointly conducted by Borusan Lojistik with YGA (Young Guru Academy) started this year at Türkan Sabancı Primary School for the Visually Impaired.
Having started the YGA project in the 2010-2011 academic year with courses at Üsküdar Şemsi Paşa Primary School, Borusan Lojistik supports its team of volunteer activity leaders in order to help them discover their potential as future leaders and to raise them as leaders in charge of social responsibility. The project which gathers together the brightest students from the 6th and 7th grades of elementary school for 13 weeks in 2 hour sessions aims at developing the children’s competencies, such as creativity, self-expression, social responsibility, thought sharing, research and leadership. At the end of the 13 weeks, the most successful pupil wins the opportunity to attend Stars Camp in the next semester.
It is planned that the project conducted jointly with YGA will continue for years to come.
