Borusan Logistics International has opened its sixth country office in Kazakhstan. The legal incorporation procedures of Borusan Logistics International Kazakhstan LLP, which will be the center of Borusan Logistics in the CIS and Central Asia, were completed in Almaty on 10 August 2011. 

In Kazakhstan, which is the most developed and stable economy in the region with its rich natural gas, oil and underground resources, oil and mining activities are mostly concentrated around Almaty, the largest city in the country, while industry, production and trade activities are encountered in the north and west of the country. With a population of approximately 16 million, Kazakhstan is the gateway of the Customs Union, which was launched by Russia - Belarus - Kazakhstan at the beginning of 2011, to both China and the Turkic Republics, as well as being the industrial and production center of Central Asia. 

At the beginning of 2012, Borusan Logistics International Kazakhstan commissioned its transportation fleet consisting of approximately 30 units of 4x2 and 6x4 self-owned trailers and expanded its in-country structuring throughout the country until the end of 2012, mainly in Horgos, Aktobe and Karaganda, aiming to have a voice in the transportation lines of China-Russia-Europe, China-the Turkic Republics-the Middle East and CIS-Gulf Countries.
